The English Placement Test (EPT) is completed immediately after the student’s first arrival and is assigned to the relevant level of English language instruction in Thomson Rivers University’s ESL Program. The English Placement Test needs to be completed a week prior to the start of the course. In the case where a student scored well on the TOEFL or any other test, they have the option of entering ESL or academic courses directly and not passing the Thomson Rivers University English placement test.
