Hardin-Simmons University International Student Scholarships USA, 2022/2023


Hardin-Simmons University is a private Baptist university, formerly known as Abilene Baptist College. Founded by a group of Texas ranchers and pastors with the goal of providing a Christian education to the people of Southwest Texas, Hardin-Simmons University enrolls students in a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs.

The university offers six undergraduate degrees in 70 disciplines and seven graduate degrees in 18 programs. HSU’s academic offerings are divided among seven schools: the College of Fine Arts, the Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts, the Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics, the Irvin School of Education, the Kelley College of Business, the Logsdon School of Theology and the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. The university boasts small class sizes, which give students the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with their professors. 

The Center for Student Achievement’s professional staff consistently delivers customized and individualized assistance to students. There are dedicated graduate and associate success coaches who meet on a planned schedule to develop skills and knowledge to help students improve their academic and personal success.

The International Student Scholarships are available for International in all fields (Undergraduate Level) at the Hardin-Simmons University. 


The successful students will receive $10,000 from Hardin Simmons University for the implemented program. 

Eligibility requirements: 

In order to be considered, candidates are required to be freshmen students enrolling at Hardin Simmon, must possess 1030SAT or 20ACT or 66 CLT, and have a minimum GPA of 2.25 to re-certify the scholarship. 

Application process:   

In order to be considered for admission, candidates are required to complete the application portal for the Hardin-Simmons University undergraduate degree program. 

Supporting Documents: 

The following documents are required to be submitted to the university by students:

  • A statement of intent and a transcript of all secondary work. 

Admission Requirements: 

Students are required to complete the International Student Entrance Requirements Checklist offered by the university: 

  • Step 1: Students must pay a $300 deposit which can be refunded until May 1. All new students pay a $300 deposit before registering for the course. The registration deposit reserves your place in the class and shows your intent to participate.
  • Step 2: Submit a verified score to the ACT/SAT, if applicable. Students may have already reported their score, but must submit a verified score before registering for classes; 
  • Step 3: Students must sign the Terms of Agreement through their self-service account. Their self-service account will need to be activated prior to signing the terms of agreement.  If they have not already done so, they can log into their application portal and obtain their username or password; 
  • Step 4: Request an appointment to be advised on how to register for fall classes.

Conditions of Language: 

The following English language proficiency test scores are required from students: 

– TOEFL IBT: 79;  

– IELTS: 6.5; 

– Duolingo: 95.
